I am passionate about education and improving the life chances of all children and young people. Having worked as a School Business Professional for 35 years, (covering primary, secondary and special schools both maintained, single academies and multi-academy trusts) and achieved appropriate qualifications including a Masters degree in Educational Leadership and being recognised as a Fellow of the Institute of School Business Leadership, I have expertise in financial resilience and sustainability, and am adept at dealing with matters of value for money. 

I am an accredited School Resource Management Advisor (SRMA) and as such I regularly complete deployments on behalf of the Department for Education to support schools and trusts to ensure that they are financially sustainable for the long term, making appropriate recommendations on efficiencies that could be made.

Having been a Governor and Trustee and had governance as a key responsibility within my last contracted role, I have a good understanding of financial and corporate governance at a strategic board level, and experience of exercising good judgement and integrity within these settings. I am committed to the seven principles of public life and always work within those to achieve what is in the best interest of children and young people.
